ALBANY, N.Y. (November, 2024) – Corning Place Communications (CPC), a strategic communications and public affairs agency based in downtown Albany, announces the addition of Melissa Kees to its team of seasoned professionals.
Kees joins CPC as vice president and will make an immediate impact on the growing agency’s portfolio of clients spanning a variety of sectors including healthcare, organized labor, energy, agriculture, higher education, and associations.
Melissa brings a unique and diverse skillset from her previous role as a vice president of accounts and media strategy at another local agency. In that role, she developed and executed comprehensive communications plans leading to critical media coverage for her clients.
At CPC, Kees will leverage her experience to assist with the firm’s service offerings, helping both current and future clients achieve their communication goals through tailored strategies and impactful media outreach.

Kees’ career also includes a decade at WAMC Northeast Public Radio, one of the largest NPR affiliates in New England, where she managed the underwriting department. Additionally, her experience at Mower, an independent marketing and communications agency, and WNYT NewsChannel 13 adds to her diverse background in media strategy, public relations, and communications.
