Albany, NY – Corning Place Communications (CPC), a strategic communications and public affairs firm located in downtown Albany, is pleased to announce Samantha Torrey and Anthony Kownack as new additions to its team of seasoned professionals.
Sam Torrey joins CPC as Senior Public Relations Strategist, following nearly seven years serving as Chief of Staff to Assemblymember Mary Beth Walsh, leading day-to-day communications and legislative duties. Prior to that, she worked as a Public Affairs Coordinator at Gramercy Communications, and before that, as Senior Press Coordinator for the New York State Assembly Minority Conference. As Senior Public Relations Strategist, Sam will work with the team to develop and implement integrated public affairs strategies and campaigns for CPC’s diverse roster of clients in healthcare, agriculture, education, public safety, and economic development.
Anthony Kownack joins CPC as Public Relations Strategist, following more than three years managing communications efforts at Albany-based government relations firm, Ostroff Associates. As Public Relations Strategist, Anthony will monitor and identify client issues and opportunities, and support the implementation of grassroots and public affairs campaigns.
